Master’s thesis and new publication on Martin Wegelius by Steffen Astheimer
Steffen Astheimer published Busoni’s correspondence with Martin Wegelius, founder and director of the Helsinki Conservatory, in March 2024 as part of his master’s thesis at Humboldt University in Berlin. An essay entitled “Pioneer of Piano Playing in Finland: Ferruccio Busoni’s Correspondence with Martin Wegelius” has now been published to accompany this edition.
